Η Ελένη Τζίκου γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1978.

Είναι απόφοιτος του Τμήματος Ψυχολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης (2001), του 3ετούς Εκπαιδευτικού Προγράμματος Χοροθεραπείας της Ένωσης Χοροθεραπευτών Ελλάδος (2007), του 3ετούς Εκπαιδευτικού Προγράμματος στη Μονάδα Οικογενειακής Θεραπείας (2010) του Ψυχιατρικού Νοσοκομείου Αττικής (Ψ.Ν.Α. Δαφνί) και της Μονοετούς Διεθνώς Πιστοποιημένης Επαγγελματικής Μετεκπαίδευσης στη Θεραπευτική Κλινική Ύπνωση και στη Γνωσιακή – Συμπεριφορική Κλινική Υπνοθεραπεία την οποία και ολοκλήρωσε τον Γενάρη του 2021.

Η επαγγελματική της πορεία ως Ψυχολόγου ξεκινά το 2002, σε Μονάδα Φροντίδας Ηλικιωμένων.

Το 2007 εντάσσεται στο Εισαγωγικό Μητρώο Στελεχών Συνοδευτικών Υποστηρικτικών Υπηρεσιών  και  στο Εισαγωγικό Μητρώο Εκπαιδευτών Ενηλίκων του Ε.Ο.Π.Π.Ε.Π. (πρώην Ε.ΚΕ.ΠΙΣ.)

Από το 2002 ως και σήμερα (α) έχει κάνει  υποστηριζόμενη εκπαίδευση και συνοδεία στο σχολείο εφήβων με ψυχιατρικά προβλήματα και διαταραχές συμπεριφοράς, β) έχει εργαστεί σε Φορείς (Ν.Π.Ι.Δ.) του Προγράμματος Αποασυλοποίησης Ψυχαργώς, γ) συμμετείχε σε ερευνητικά προγράμματα, δ) εκπαιδεύει και υποστηρίζει εθελοντές, σπουδαστές και επαγγελματίες Ψυχικής Υγείας, ε) εργάζεται ιδιωτικά ως Ψυχολόγος -καθώς και μέσω χοροθεραπευτικών παρεμβάσεων- κάνοντας συνεδρίες.

Διδάσκει δε στο Εκπαιδευτικό Πρόγραμμα της Ένωσης Χοροθεραπευτών Ελλάδος και είναι συνεργάτιδα του Ψυχοθεραπευτικού Κέντρου -Πολυχώρου «Animus Corpus», στην Αθήνα και του Κέντρου Προσχολικής Αγωγής και Εκπαίδευσης «Mafalda», στον Πειραιά.

Helen Tzikou was born in Athens- Greece in 1978 .

She graduated from the Department of Psychology, University of Crete ( in 2001 ), from the 3-year educational program of the Greek Dance Therapy Association  ( in 2007 ), from the 3-year Training Program in Family Therapy Unit (2010) of the Psychiatric Hospital of Attica ( Dafni ) & from the One-Year Internationally Certified Professional Training in Therapeutic Clinical Hypnosis and Cognitive-Behavioral Clinical Hypnotherapy (2021).

Her professional career as a Psychologist starts in 2002, at an Elderly Care Unit .

From 2002 till now she has accompanied at school, adolescents with psychiatric experience and behavioral disorders, b) she has worked in Units of the deinstitutionalization program «Psychargos», c) she participated in research projects, d) she trains and supports volunteers, students and professionals for Mental Health , e) she is working as a psychologist and dance therapist.

 She is also a collaborator in the Psychotherapeutic Center «Animus Corpus«, in Athens and in the Center for Early Childhood Education «Mafalda«, in Piraeus.

  • 2004: Olympic Games of Athens, as a performer at the Opening Ceremony (Director: Dimitris Papaioannou).
